Katie grew up in Williamsburg, VA and graduated from Walsingham Academy in 2010. After going away to college, she realized that this was not the direction she wanted to go. She started as a bank teller and service representative, eventually moving into portfolio bank loans and post-closing. Katie spent a decade in banks before meeting her husband in 2013 and moving to New Kent. They got married in 2017 and had their first child, Waverly, in 2022.
In August of 2021, Katie started with The Cowart Team despite not having any sales experience in the mortgage industry, thinking “what do I have to lose?” She has a passion for helping families move into their dream or starter home and is currently in college at Liberty University studying business administration with a minor in real estate.
In her free time, Katie enjoys cruising, spending time with her daughter and husband (William and dog Bo), and playing golf. Her husband is a research farmer and she loves to organize and pay attention to details. After graduation, she is not sure what she will do with her free time, but she hopes to spend more time on the golf course with her family and build their dream home in Viniterra.
